Preparing for Graduation

You will apply for graduation from the M.Ed. Program through UAccess Student in an online application system called, “GradPath.” The system enables electronic processing of degree certification forms and includes an automated workflow engine that routes the electronic forms to everyone who needs to see or approve them. Please open and download the “GradPath FAQ” PDF document below for specific instructions on navigating the GradPath system. You can also find helpful information at the UA Graduate College website.

It is best to complete your GradPath application in the semester prior to graduation and no later than the start of the semester in which you will graduate. The process takes time. Missing the deadline could mean the postponement of your degree posting until the following semester.

The cost of application is $35.00.

Master’s Committee Appointment form

Required for every master's or specialist student whether or not that student has a committee. This is required for your degree to post and for the Institutional recommendation form to be sent to the Arizona Department of Education.

When the the Graduate Coordinator has determined that you have completed all degree requirements, you must submit a Master's/Specialist Completion Confirmation form. The submission of the Completion Confirmation form initiates the Graduate College's final audit of the your program requirements and ultimately leads to the awarding of your degree following resolution of any outstanding issues.

All grades for Incompletes and current semester coursework must be received before the degree is considered completed. You must have a cumulative GPA in all graduate coursework of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in order to graduate. Any outstanding financial debts to the University may prevent you from ordering official transcripts or receiving your diploma. Please contact the Bursar's office at 621-3232 for assistance with these matters.
